About WFAD

WFAD will be a meeting place for everyone from around the world who is working to prevent drug abuse, at grass-root level on a voluntary basis or professionally. This global forum is the first of its kind at which NGOs, self-help groups, treatment centres, academics, municipal and regional authorities, politicians and other decision-makers, private individuals, the business community and others from around the world will meet to express ideas and share experiences about how to work successfully against illicit drugs.

WFAD will gather delegates from all over the world for plenary sessions, major sessions as well as work shops during three days. The speakers will include the world’s foremost academics, opinion-makers, international drugs policymakers and voluntary organisations/NGOs. They will address important issues, the latest research findings, and there will be opportunities for voluntary organisations and others to present their work and take part in ”global networking”. Successful projects in prevention and other fields will be presented.
